Our client is a successful, well established, market leader with over 100 years history. This business has grown from strength to strength and has invested heavily in their employees and resources in order to be ready for their next growth phase. They are now seeking a Financial Accountant with strong commercial acumen to join their team on a permanent basis.

 

As the Financial Accountant, you will act as a 2IC to a motivated and talented Financial Controller and your role will be challenging and varied. You will be responsible for: regular review and compliance of the business accounting policies, statutory reporting and external audits, monthly reporting including P&L, balance sheet and detailed commentary, management of SOX requirements and internal controls and portfolio accounting for consumer and inventory finance portfolios. 

 

To be considered for this role you will be qualified accountant (ie CA/CPA) with minimum 5 years experience in financial accounting, preferably within multinational, financial services environment. Your strong understanding of internal controls, SOX regulations and US and local GAAP will be imperative in your success in this role. Coupled with excellent verbal and written communications and strong commercial acumen are a prerequisite in order to liaise effectively across the business. Exposure in using Peoplesoft will also be desirable.
