The role of Publications Coordinator is a pivotal one and as such is both challenging and varied giving you plenty of opportunities to learn and develop new skills as well as to use your existing capabilities to contribute through your work to a great cause.

 

Reporting to the Head of Communications your role will predominantly be to coordinate and oversee any aspect of internally / externally produced print and online marketing / communications material including:

 

Coordinating all aspects of the production process of magazines, newsletters, State Briefings and all other regular publications

Regular liaision with all States and Territories, printers and warehouses

Weekly monitoring  / ordering stock and monthly reconciliations

Assisting in the development, review and updating of all nationally distributed resources as required

Coordinating the review and revision of website content and branding,

uploading information and ensuring all content is accurate and current

Editing content of all projects prior to creative development and proofing design layout prior to finalisation

 

You will possess a highly organised and methodical approach to your work with exceptional attention to detail and have the ability to follow processes and procedure to ensure strict work schedules are adhered to. A big-picture thinker able to connect the dots, you enjoy making a valued contribution and are able to effectively communicate with people at all levels internally and externally in both verbal and written forms as well as being an effective problem solver with the ability to think outside the square.

 

You will also need:

 

Experience in writing, editing, proofing and basic production processes including a high standard of written English including spelling, grammar and punctuation

Solid experience in internet navigation and a sound understanding of online media

Excellent time management an project management skills and the ability to work under pressure

The ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
