December 04 Newsletter

Serious Promotion!

Our Financial Services Consultant Kathryn Young seemed to be the prime focus in our Novembers newsletter, yep it was “all about Kath”, so I though it fitting to start the December newsletter with a special announcement.

Kathryn has recently been promoted to Manager of our Banking and Finance Division.  The area has experienced considerable growth over the last few years since Kathryn joined Beaumont and established the Division.

Kathryn will be developing a team of Finance Consultants to support this rapidly growing area.  We have appointed a new Consultant, Selwyn Smith to join the division on 10th January.  Selwyn comes from a Financial Services background and we look forward to welcoming Selwyn to the team.

Planning your goals for 2005

Now is the time when we take stock of what we have achieved during the past twelve months and celebrate. It is also time to consider our goals for the new year and to think about how these can be achieved.

Here are a few to top tips:

  • I’m sure you’ve all heard of “SMART” goals – make sure you set goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.
  • Write down your goals and keep them in a place where you can see them – often!  I have a friend who has her goals written on her bathroom mirror! In red lipstick ofcourse ;-)
  • Be sincere and serious– only aim for goals you really want to commit the time and effort to.
  • Don’t plan too many goals, keep them to no more than a handful that you can really focus on.
  • Set small goals to carry you forward to the big goals.
  • Review your progress at the end of every month and celebrate your success’s!

Now go on out there and get those goals.

New addition for the Office Support Division

In addition to the rapidly growing Financial Services Division we are delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona De Stefanis who joins Beaumont Consulting on 10th January to support the Office Support Division.

We know how to party!

This year we chose to thank the people and the clients we have worked with this year by inviting them to our exclusive cocktail evening.  We hired the sensational “Posh Bar” which is on the top floor of the Oversees Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay for the evening.

It was a wonderful clear warm Sydney evening, the views over the city and the Opera House were stunning.

We are sailing...

A good time was had by all when the team took to the harbour on a 40 foot yacht for our Christmas Party with East Coast Sailing. Some serious sailing was planned, though within 5 minutes this was revised slightly…. to sitting on whichever side of the yacht we were ordered to by the captain, legs dangling out, beer in hand, taking in the panoramic view. Not as easy or relaxing as it sounds…honest!

A fun day was rounded off by few drinks at the Cargo Bar, where various tales of the high seas were exchanged and varying degrees of sunburn nursed.

It was a great way to spend an afternoon and nice to get outdoors and out of the office.
