What’s New?
Beaumont Consulting introduces the new Temporary Division.
Starting Monday 2nd July, Beaumont Consulting are opening a dedicated temporary division, headed up by Justine Dorrell and Michelle Maye.
With over 12 years experience between them in temporary business services recruitment and call centre management, Justine and Michelle have the knowledge and resources to be able to service both small and large scale temp orders. Whether you need extra help in the accounts department, a receptionist to cover sick leave or a contract worker in your marketing team, they will source the perfect candidate for you.
Michelle and Justine are very excited about the new division. Over the next few months, they will be introducing lots of exciting incentives to entice the most skilled and reliable temporary workers. We will also be re-introducing our temp of the month prize. Nominate your favourite temp and we'll give them $100 voucher and put their photo (as well as a mention of your company!), into our newsletter.
To introduce this service to any clients not currently using Beaumont Consulting for temporary staff, we will be extending our Try us for Free offer. This is a voucher which entitles you to claim the first two hours of your first full day booking for free - a fantastic way to sample our service.
For any temporary needs or to find out just how excited Michelle and Justine are, call now on 9279 2777
Working with the Ageing Workforce!
By Rhonda Dunn
Why Hire Maturity? Haven't you heard? Grey is the new black!
The ageing of the workforce is unprecedented. This means…
-
over 80% of labour market growth this decade will come from candidates aged 45+
-
for every 1 new labour market entrant, there are 7 available over the age of 45
-
employees aged 45+ will stay with an organisation 2.4 times longer on average than under 45's
This means as employers who are happy to consider employing the more ‘mature’ Candidates, you can...
-
reap cost savings due to improved retention, decreased absenteeism and lower attrition rates
-
mirror your customer base more effectively
-
enjoy the benefits of a diverse, flexible workforce
-
inject experience, knowledge and wisdom into your organisation
86% of mature aged workers surveyed said they would be more inclined to purchase products and services from organisations committed to hiring maturity.
(Adage survey)
Simply put, employing maturity makes good business sense!!
Gen Y’s no different
At a recent presentation, Gen Y expert, Peter Sheahan commented that Gen Yer’s are no different to the Baby Boomers or Gen X’s when discussing their expectations within the workplace. Sheahan summarised his years of research by indicating that Gen Yers, like the majority of us, are looking for –
-
A sense of control over their work
-
Respect and a willingness by employers to invest in their future
-
To feel like they are making a contribution to the organisation
Unlike previous generations, if Gen Yer’s don’t feel their needs are being fulfilled within the workplace, they have the nerve to move on and find something else!
The key to organisations attracting and retaining Gen Yer’s is by offering a transparent, nurturing and engaging environment, where opportunities can be created for upwards or even lateral movement within the organisation.
With record unemployment rates, especially within NSW, Sheahan commented that if your organisation isn’t able to offer such an environment, your competition will!
