We CAN and WILL motivate YOU
In July we held a complimentary client function at The American Club in partnership with Oxygen Learning. The topic was ‘mastering your motivation’. The feedback was sensational, and we had a great turnout, with over 50 clients attending! Where’s all the Talent?
Everyone is talking about it and we’re right in the thick of it, nobody feels it more than we do when it comes to a shortage of talent! Clients are jumping up and down for hot candidates and our advertising spend has increased 400% in just the last 6 months. As professional recruiters, we know what it takes to recruit the best, here are a few tips to ensure you attract and recruit top talent!
Prepare - Before you start recruiting, make sure you know exactly what you’re looking for, more time spent developing a thorough specification of the role and the person means less time and money wasted making a poor hiring decision. Then call Beaumont Consulting! ;-)
Do you already know them? - Consider internal candidates, retain your existing talent! You’d be surprised how often companies spend time and money advertising and recruiting only to find the best person for the job was sitting right there!
Sell it up! - In a competitive market for talent – it is important to sell your company and the role to the candidate just as much as it is to assess their suitability. In a talent short market there are more attractive opportunities out there, if you choose the candidate then you need to make sure that they also choose YOU!
Get on with it! – Gone are the days of 3 interviews over 4 weeks! You have to move fast on good candidates, if you don't your competitors will! We regularly turn a job around from brief to placement in under a week! We also regularly lose outstanding candidates because the resumes sat on someone’s desk for 3 days!
Use the experts - Work in partnership with your recruitment agency, they don’t just provide resumes and they are the recruitment experts! They can offer up to date salary advice, ideas for benefits packages, market availability, offer suggestions on how to increase retention and reduce turnover and much, much more!
Introducing Temp of the Month
We have so many fabulous temps working for us and we regularly receive terrific feedback from the companies that we work with so we decided to acknowledge outstanding performance with our "Temp of the Month award".
It was a tough decision this month, however our first Temp of the Month award goes to Raymond Pelaez who is working at ING Bank, he receives $100 in gift vouchers. Well done Raymond!
