We appreciate and acknowledge outstanding performance from the amazing temps that are currently working for us.
Our April Temp of the Month award goes to Louise Hudson. Louise has always been 100% reliable. She is professional, hard working and committed, which is why we wanted her to receive the Temp of the Month Award this month.
Louise is pictured here with our Tara Robinson, whilst on assignment at Regal Health Services. Well done Louise.

Answer machines can make the difference
You’d be surprised at the number of people who don't answer their home phone or their mobile phone, and have no facility to leave a message! If this is you, you might find yourself missing out on the jobs that you apply for.
If a company has 80 resumes to choose from, they are unlikely to call one unknown candidate five times in the hope of catching them. That missed call could cost you an interview, so pay that little extra and ensure your home phone or mobile has an answering service.
Top ten tips for success
Julian Tertini, the founder of both the Freedom and Fantastic Furniture empires, is one of Australia's best know entrepreneurs.
He was awarded the 2003 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Retail, Consumer and Industrial Products, made the BRW Rich 200 list in 2004 and has an estimated wealth of $168 million.
At the recent NETWORX Entrepreneur Panel in Sydney Julian shared his top ten tips for success, and we like them so much we though we’d pass them on to you:
1. Life is like a bank account -you need to make as many deposits as you do withdrawals
2. Question anything you don't understand, without fear of losing face - no matter how successful you become.
3. Leverage your time - use every minute to your advantage, even if it is to take time out.
4. Take responsibility for outcomes - don't always look for other people or circumstances to blame.
5. Develop a passion for learning, and continue to learn.
6. Don't be afraid to say "I was wrong".
7. Focus on the future, not the past. Ask "What now?"
8. Spend less than you earn. People like to overcomplicate things so that they have an excuse for when they fail.
9. Think carefully and often - the first answer you come up with to a problem is often not the right one.
10. Be passionate. Stay passionate.
Joke of the Month
Okay, so these might sound very strange, but so very funny (but obviously only when the boss is having a good day!!)
-
Run one lap around the office at top speed
-
Groan out loud in the toilet cubicle (at least one other 'non-player' must be in the toilet at the time)
-
Ignore the first five people who say 'good morning' to you.
-
Phone someone in the office you barely know, leave your name and say, "Just called to say I can't talk right now. Bye."
-
To signal the end of a conversation, clamp your hands over your head
-
When someone hands you a piece of paper, finger it, and whisper huskily, "Mmmmmmm, that feels soooooo good!"
-
Walk sideways to the photocopier.
-
While riding in a lift, gasp dramatically every time the doors open.
Timesheets are Online
Did you know you can fill out your timesheets online? For those you of you currently temping with us, or those who may in the future, all you have to do is log on to our website and go to jobseekers and submit timesheet.
All very simple and saves the trees too.
