Working with this truly inspiration children and young person’s charity who exists to support, develop and empower individuals living with an experience of cancer the role of the Fundraising Executive is challenging yet fun! We are currently seeking an individual with bags of initiative to drive fundraising support through active encouragement of community and corporate participation as part of a creative and passionate Marketing & Fundraising Team.

 

Reporting to the National Partnerships Manager your role will primarily be responsible for developing,supporting and managing relationships with a network of supporters and key stakeholders including individuals, community groups, schools, universities and local and corporate businesses to raise awareness and funds for programs and resources across NSW. A highly proactive role you will be accountable for much more than answering the phone, fielding enquiries and managing the database so it will be essential that you are as committed and as passionate about your work as a Fundraiser as the rest of the team, in fact the entire organisation. 

 

What’s involved?

Effectively implementing and managing a range of events and campaigns in line with the organisation’s fundraising strategy & income targets

Building strong relationships with local and corporate businesses and in the community encouraging ongoing participation in fundraising events and initiatives

Acting as a representative at events and when required as spokesperson

Proactively increasing income through the acquisition of new participants

Researching and approaching pre-existing sporting events for partnership potential or opportunities to enter fundraising teams

Working alongside the National Events Specialist in a range of tasks from assisting in recruiting volunteers to planning logistics for street sales for the national flagship event

Assisting the National Partnerships Manager with ad hoc partnership management, coordinating corporate fundraising activities with corporate partners and developing the Work Place Giving Program

 

You will need:

 

Proven experience in a not for profit environment working with individual fundraisers, corporates, community groups and volunteers

The ability to speak and present to groups and individuals at all levels, quickly and easily establishing rapport and credibility

Solid attention to detail, organisational and time management skills

Strong project management skills able to manage a number of

different tasks concurrently

Good IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and databases

Basic knowledge / experience with press releases, marketing collateral and branding policies

A tertiary qualification in a relevant field would be beneficial.
